Running to be a Prefect

I'm new to my school, and the prefect elections are just around the corner. Everyone who wants to be one has to campaign for themselves in my school. The whole school votes and we are given a speech each at assembly as part of our campaigns.

I'm quite concerned because I am relatively unknown in my new school, yet I really want to be one of the few elected. What do teenagers find funny and appealing? What can I do on my campaign posters and say in my speech that will be appealing to kids aged 12 to 19?

If you've won a student election before or just have some tips, please save a life
