How do I get UCAS points for volunteering?

I'm doing 3 a levels, and epq and I would like to do a pre-u qualification.
I would also like to get UCAS points for volunteering. How do I do this?
(Please don't hate on me if this is a stupid question: I don't really understand ucas. )

Hi, you don't get UCAS points for volunteering, only for qualifications such as A-Levels (obviously), the EPQ, and graded music exams.
However, volunteering is still beneficial for your UCAS application, because you can write about it on your personal statement. With the exception of Oxford/Cambridge, it will strengthen your application to any uni

had a quick look on google and maybe they were talking about the ASDAN volunteering courses which you can get UCAS points from? but if you were to just spend some time at a local charity you wouldn't get points from it
