its getting quite late now and most of u have probably got the offers you wanted so the question is "which universities have you picked as your firm and insurance and for what course"

i am personally hoping for an "offer" from imperial after i get "invited" for an interview..lol. if so:

Firm: Imperial college london (computing 3 yrs )
Insurance: Kings College london (computer science with a year in industry 4 yrs)

well you will get into royal holloway so it won't matter :P

nah on a serious note, 2 and a half hours isnt too bad, it always goes quicker then expected, leeds is like 3hrs away from me, and when i went to visit the journey went really fast! I'd go with where you like the most, and feel most at home. You won't wanna visit home that often anyway when you get there!

I hope so.. But I don't know! And yeah I visited, it was alright Swansea. Rubbish day though and looked really depressing. Probably go for Swansea and just hope to get into the Hollow.

i'm confused. you're firm and insurance offers are exactly the same. surely the insurance should be lower grades or conditions....?

Technically if your grades for your firm and insurance are the same then you don't have an insurance :p: However, I and other people have chosen firm and insurance with the same grades before on the grounds that your insurance might be a lesser-ranked university who might be more likely to accept you if you miss your grades than your firm will.
Exeter was my firm, Sussex was my insurance. Both offered me BBB. Manchester and Nottingham offered me AAB (or was it ABB? Can't remember) so I could have had one of them as my firm but didn't really want it.

Firm: Stirling - Accountancy (one C at higher)
Insurance: Stirling - Accountancy with Business Studies (one C at higher)

Totally defeats the purpose I realise though, having both as the same uni with the same grades. But my other conditional is also a C at higher for Dundee.

Firm: Oxford (English Q300) - conditional upon one A
Insurance: Cardiff (English QQ31) - unconditional

The insurance may change, depending on what Durham have to say. However, as they're unlikely to make me an unconditional offer, or a conditional offer lower than the Oxford one, I think Cardiff will probably stay as my insurance choice.
