I was looking at an ad for a car and instead of stating a mileage it said that.
Does mean the mileage is massively high and I should avoid ?

It means the seller is honest.
Technically if you cant prove the milage all the way down to 0 again with MOT certs etc you cant prove the milage on any car.

Ive never once looked at how many miles a car has done when buying.

some people (not necesarily rightly) use it to say that the car might be used between now and when it sells, so worth calling and asking what exactly they mean.. had a few do this when I was looking for my last car..
