Hi ya,
I wanna ask whether would be ask to prove any trigonometric identity( c3 ones particularly) in maths exam. I am doing edexcel maths.

Yeah sometimes they may ask you to prove that one trig equation is equal to another and you have to do so by using trigonometric identities

Search the magic hexagon trigonometry. It will help you memorise the identities. As for the ones you need to prove they are listed on the specification if im not mistaken. I know you need to be able to prove the differentiated trig from formula booklet (c3/4 ones)

I know the proof questions. What I meant is let's say if y=tanx Then dy/dx= sec^x I still know how to prove that but just wanna know would they test us on the main ones that are given in formula sheet or even if not. I hope you understand what I mean
