Today I was given the brief for my gcse final art project. I have chosen the topic interiors and had a idea of making a dolls house themed room. I was wondering if this would be a good idea or not and if it is arty enough.

I like the idea, it does sound arty enough. However, I would suggest doing your project as if you didn't have an idea for your final piece as the examiners like to see a natural progression of your ideas, seeing what inspired you to create that piece etc. But you could do all of your research and just theme the doll's house around some artist's that inspire you. Either way experiment and play around with ideas as experimentation gets you marks.

I also just got the brief and I found them mostly boring but I am planning to do In the news. I think your idea sounds good but maybe you should have a scene happening in the dolls house, look at Anthony Green for domestic life ideas.
