Why can images not be embedded on the Relationships forum?

I've always wondered why images can't be embedded in posts on a thread in the relationships forum. Given that a lot of relationships threads ask about appearances and stuff like that and use image examples, I find it a bit strange.
When did it even come into force and why?

Basically because of people posting memes and other rubbish in response to serious threads. It was hoped that by turning off images some of the troll replies would die down a bit. The change was made several years ago and I guess nobody has been concerned enough by it to change anything since.

It's just inconvenient in some cases and IMO the negatives of it outweigh the positives. Not to mention that the relationships forum is a prime target for troll threads themselves.

I remember when the change took place, it was part of the big restructure of Health and Relationships when they got split into two forums. Whilst trolling did happen still, the amount of stuff that got through in terms of bad advice did really drop (2011 was when it happened if I recall correctly!)
