Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of finding a suitable question for my EPQ. I am finding it difficult to find something related to both economics and history (I am looking to do economics at university). I have been looking into Karl Marx's economic policies and the Gold standard, however, I am finding it difficult to find a suitable question.
I would also like to do a question based on France/ French history and economy as I find their history very interesting. I have been looking into the history of the Franc but not many questions have to my mind.
I find modern history more interesting (1850 - 2000) and I particularly find WW1 very engaging.
I don't take history or economics as my A-levels so there are no topics restraints.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey
Ok so I did Russian economics for my history coursework but it can be done for an EPQ also
I looked at how war impacted the Russian economy from 1855-1956. It’s super interesting if u like modern history because there is so much you can talk about.
I don’t do economics so I’m not much help but I’m an A2 history student. Even something like how the American civil war 1851-56 impacts today’s economy in America would be interesting
EPQ’s are so important too. I wasn’t going to do one but I get a lower offer at Leeds if I get an A in my EPQ so defo stick with it. Doing a literature review at the very start helps
Good luck
