I'm studying AS maths independently and I'm not sure how to register with edexcel. I've looked at the website and it only talks about how schools should register their students. I'm not sure what documents I need or where I need to send the fees to. Overall the whole process is really confusing. Can someone help me?

As a private candidate you have to find a centre, that may be a school, college or private tutorial/exam centre that will accept you for the exams you want to do. They will enter you for the exams and they will require appropriate photo ID (eg passport) and collect the exam fees plus any additional charges they want to make for their services. If you want to be entered for summer 2018 you need to find a centre quickly as entries are done in February. Late entries are possible but expensive.

Thank you so much! I haven't been able to get a straight answer out of anyone. So the fees that the exam centre will ask for include the registration fee?

Yes, Whatever they ask for will pay for the exam fees from EDEXCEL plus the centre fees.
