Yes, and King's is one of the most diverse universities in the UK, after all it's in London - the most multi-cultural city in the nation.

Yeah. I think there's quite a lot more black people than other unis and they have an acs. Quite a few other black people I know are applying to kcl as well

What are you studying? I'm black and have a secured a place for Classical Studies - not known to be the most diverse-student course but i'm still excited to study it.

If there arent any other black students on my course, I'll probably just sign up for the KCL African-Carribean society which would make me a feel a lot more comfortable, i hope. You sound like you could do the same?

KCL is diverse until it comes to black people, which it definitely lacks. But as an earlier poster said, it's London, and you'll be socialising with people from all the London universities so you're bound to find community somewhere

Same thing here! It's my first choice but a friend's of mine who's at Kings (she's Asian) said its not a very diverse there, so I'm looking into other options just in case I change my mind on results day.

Also check on the number of black graduate employees. Will they take your fees whilst you are being educated but would they employ you, when you graduate? Black Larry

Check with the BAME officer to see if there is any disparity in the treatment of black students /employees. The truth is out there! Black Larry
