Why is everyone a ****ing genius here😂😂 I'm getting 5 and 6's
In my mocks, I received grades:8776654444.2 of the grade 4's (geography and Economics) were very close to 5's. But I still don't l know if I have the potential to do well in the real GCSE's in 2 months time
OMG THATS SO GOOD , do you think I could go up 2/3 grades if I revised at least 5 hours before each exam and a little before in mocks x

So I got my mock results back before Christmas and I feel like such failure, especially after going on TSR and reading about people who got all 8/9 in their mocks.

I was wondering what your mock results were, and if you have done them already, how your GCSEs compared to your mocks, and what you did to obtain those grades.

My mock results:

English Lit- 6 (I was the most upset about this one. I cried for a good few hours. I WAS 1 MARK OFF A 7 TOO!)
English Lang- 9
Geography- 7
German- 7
Science- 6 (I do double. Got a 6 in all 3 sciences)
Maths- 5 (Never been good at Maths. My worst subject.)
Spanish- 6
Drama- 6
History- 6

I am not saying a 6 is "bad" btw.

EDIT: I completed my GCSEs and I ended up doing much better

English Lang- 8
Lit-9
Geography- 9
German- 8
Science- 9,8
Maths- 6
Spanish- 8
Drama- 9
History- 8
Well then GOD BLESS YOUR NATURAL CLEVERNESS
Then theres me just scraping a 4 crobbo u shoould be lucky with 6's

I got:

Drama-9
English Lang-8
English Lit-9
Geography-9
German-8
History-8
Maths-6
Science (Double award)- 9,8
Spanish- 8

I finished my iGCSEs few months back... and now I am doing Physics Chemistry Math and Further Maths for A levels...
And this is how I did- (Mock grade first and then actual iGCSE grade)-
Eng Lit- A,A
Eng Lang- A,A
Math- 9,9
F.Math- 6,6
Physics- 8,9
Chemistry- 8,9
Biology- 8,9
Computer Science- A*, A
French- 7,9
The most shocking was french cause I thought the maximum I'd get was an 8.
I got a 6 in further math because I had to self-study and I started studying during the exam season... so I didn't get much time.

How did you improve your English Language so quickly?

Mr Salles Teaches English on Youtube. Without him, I can quarantee I would not have done so well in both English GCSEs.

it is definitely possible!! in my physics mocks and assessments, i was getting 6s and 7s throughout year 11 (the occasional 8 too, but i could never keep it up) and i thought physics would be my weakest science but it turned out to be the only science i got a 9 in. trust me, you can do it. i just focused on the areas i struggled with and blagged the rest (do not advise lmao) bc i had no time, and my physics exam turned out pretty well. the easter holidays will be your friend and if you get study leave (my school didn't) USE THAT!

hey! i got a 9 in english language back in 2019 and i would say try to learn your annotations in the anthology and also practise creative writing by doing a past paper or essay each week and handing it to your teacher to mark, set yourself 3 targets for next time based on the feedback, e.g specific language devices you want to try incorporate and then attempt a different essay the week after.
