So I had applied for uni and gotten all of my offers a month before the UCAS deadline, but I found out last minute that I wasn't eligible for student finance, (for an EU student studying in UK you need to have lived 3 years in either the EU or UK prior to the course, which wasn't my case), which is why I will be forced to take a gap year (as I would be eligible next year 2019/2020). What would be the best way to spend this one year gap year productively? I don't want to travel or work in retail. I was gonna study a science based course in uni. Does anyone know a way to work in laboratories for a year as a work placement? or any alternative suggestions? Thank you.
