I’ve currently made my application for mental health nursing. looking at the PowerPoint that got sent out last year the numbers are really low on how many people get onto the course. I’ve noticed in the same powerpoint the BSc (Hons)Psychology (Criminal Behaviour) course. I want to do mental health but I want my career path to lead down to becoming criminal psychologist in the prisons or helping alongside the police force.

I have booked to go to the open day. Just really confused on the best path to get to be where I want to be or if it is even possible for me

Psychology perhaps forensic psychology is a much better option for you if you're certain you want to be a criminal psychologist, mental health nurses can do prison nursing i believe but as someone that dropped out of mental health nursing i wouldn't do it if you've any doubts.
