It might seem like a really specific question but some of you may be able to help! I'm currently in Year 13 and haven't applied for uni as I never envisioned myself going but having considered options over the past few months I would really like to go and study law, out of all the University options Cambridge really appeals to me. Since I haven't applied this for entry this year I would of course be applying for entry in October 2019. I am currently studying History, Economics and English Language at A level but am studying from home, hence why I haven't had a school to walk me through the process of applying.
Here is the slightly tricky situation..?
I am in Year 13 but for my first year of A levels I couldn't pick my other subjects so I decided to solely do History and focus on my sport (reason for homeschooling), then having decided on Economics and English I am basically in Year 12 for those this year despite being 17. Therefore I finish my full History A level this year but just my AS for Econ and English and those will finish with final exams in 2019. My question is does this affect my chances of entry? I'm concerned it looks odd on an application and appears indecisive. Do I apply as any other Year 12 student does or is it a special case because I'm a year older?
Hopefully this makes sense, I am speaking to the careers advisors next week for advice but thought I would see if anyone who has applied or knows the process could help!
Thanks!
