I have a 2000 word coursework essay - v important - due in a week and a bit on Wordsworth and Nature in the Lyrical Ballads. Its a common topic of research I know, but I'm still finding it nigh on impossible to write the essay. I just don't have a ****ing clue what to do. I've picked out a handful of poems and have come up with what I think are some interesting ideas about how WW conceives of the relationship between nature and man, as well as the interrelationships between trees, animals etc. but am REALLY struggling to knit them all together into a coherent train of thought. Moreover, I still don't have any idea what kind of historical or philosophical or any kind of context I could bring in to interpret my readings in light of. I've already spend almost 20 hours working on the essay over the last handful of days and have got absolutely nowhere. I've tried looking at criticism but all that does is scramble my head and I can't make any kind of connection between their ideas and my own. I'm not stupid - I go to a v good university and got straight A*s at A-level - but I just cannot actually do this. I need help. How do you construct an essay, what are the stages including reading secondary sources, conducting close-readings etc., building an argument????? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
