What would happen in this scenario?

If you use a computer to do your exam essay question, but at the end, the invigilator accidentally deletes a paragraph while trying to save your work. You only find out after the exam has been marked - what would happen? Would you get a chance to resit?

If it's for your actually GCSE'S or A levels you probably won't ever get the paper back so unfortunately you would never know. If not and you do raised the problem then it depends how much the exam board deem it would have affected your grade and would compensate you accordingly.

Hope this helps
no idea sorry :frown: do you think this happened to you?
Hmm. Interesting one.:beard:

The question comes down to whether you are ultimately responsible for saving your work. If so, then it's your fault and little would happen.

If not, then the invigilator would probably end up writing a statement/report about what happened, and asking you to sign to confirm that that was what happened. The rest of your essay will then be marked, and based on the quality of what is there, give you a grade based on what you'd get if the full essay had been saved.

Or, they might just let you stay behind at the end to write the paragraph again.
