Is it really difficult to get onto the RADA foundation course and would it be worth taking ?
Being 'worth it' is difficult to define. If you really want to be an actor but can't get onto reputable full acting courses, then it is certainly an option if you can afford it.
One thing to consider is the success rate of graduates getting on to the main course, or even going elsewhere to do so. You could try asking Rada but they might not have the figures or not want to give them out. If that's the case, look at the profiles of this year's graduating Rada actors at https://www.rada.ac.uk/profiles?yr=0 and see how many came via the foundation course. You can check previous years, and also look at similar pages at schools such as Lamda - I'm sure I've seen people there who did the Rada foundation.
