Okay, for A level Physics (OCR), I have to write a paper on a topic, (like superconductivity). I want to cite an article, for example, this one: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...lids/meis.html

However, this site cites other papers as well. If I wanted to cite a webpage that in turn cited other papers, would I just cite the webpage on it's own, or just cite the original sources on their own?

I had this issue during my EPQ. it depends on the citation style and the actual material you are citing. If I remember correctly, if it’s data from the original source you cite the original but if it’s analysis or anything written originally from the new source’s authors you cite the new source.

Thanks for the info! On that note about my citation style, I'm using the Harvard system so if your comment changes based on that, let me know please.
