Studying to work a minimum wage job

To be a retail store assosciate at Holland&Barrett you have to study a total of 90 hours over 6 months to have a good knowledge/benefits of all the products they sell which surprised me but I see the logic.
Are there any other jobs where you have to study to be taken on?

I know that for Lush you have to study a LOT - you have to know all of the products, their ingredients and how they effect the body. I've got friends who work there and they do random pop quizzes to ensure they know what they're talking about. It sounds really high pressure.

When I worked as a lifeguard/poolside assistant, I had to study lots of first aid and do a practical qualification in it. That was minimum wage, but I suppose it was a given.
