Want to buy something for uni but unsure what’s best for me. I don’t know if I should get a laptop or a tablet or a chrome book or an iPad with a keyboard?? What does everyone have for uni?

I’m doing English at uni so I’ll mainly be writing essays and web searching. Not sure if iPads are good to take notes on? iPads with keyboards? Or is pen and paper better for note taking in lectures?

I guess it depends on what you mean by real work. If you need a browser, an office package (spreadsheet editor, word processor, presentation editor, etc...), a pdf viewer, a calendar, an e-book reader, equation editor, graphing tool, video player, photo organiser, program editor , you should be fine.

What really makes the difference is whether or not, you're gonna be connected to the Internet.
