Hi, I applied to Queen's for Criminology and am still waiting for an offer, but I was curious as to what the social life and nightlife are like in Belfast?

    Hi MonaG06 :wavey:

Hopefully some current/recent students will see this post and give you the low down, but in the meantime I thought I'd share a couple of links with you.

You can get an idea of the variety of things to do on nights out etc . from the Visit Belfast website here.

Also, you can get an idea of the huge number of clubs and different societies on offer at the university here - they are a brilliant opportunity for meeting new friends and socialising. There are also of plenty of trips away depending on what you are in to! The Students's Union itself (which is just across the road from the main Lanyon building is also a great spot for socialising and getting involved.

If you were thinking of staying in halls your 1st year, the residential team there also run loads of events and mixers.

I hope this helps a little bit and wish you all the very best with you're application! Hopefully, we'll see you in September when you can try out the Belfast nightlife for yourself. :wink2:

Thank you! I will definitely check out those links. And yes I was thinking of staying in Elm's Village which I read was the main accommodation area.

    You are very welcome!

And yes, Elms Village is the main accommodation site (you can check out our accommodation team's website here) but there will also be two new city centre locations opening in September; Elms BT1 and Elms BT2.

if you have any more questions just give us a shout!
