Iβm choosing my options soon, and really want to get on top of revision so that it wonβt all be in year 11. Does anyone have any tips or techniques that they find useful? I also get stressed out just thinking about GCSEβs

you are in year 9? once you choose your options, buy the textbooks for the subjects and revision guides at the earliest opportunity. read through them before you start your options. when you start your options, after school each day make simple notes on the lesson you did. only include the important information. have a folder for each subjects and keep your notes that you do after school organised. Doing this should be enough until May in year 10. i wish i had done this. i am in year 11 now and having to do 2-3 hours of revision every night because i didn't start early

Yes year 9. How much are the books by the way? And thanks, this is really good advice

it depends on the subjects and the exam board. speak to your teachers and ask them to write down what textbooks you will need. for history i had to buy 4 textbooks for about Β£10 each. speak to your teachers though because if they order them they will order them in bulk therefore get a better price.

What options does your school offer? what are you interested in and what are you planning on picking?

using revision cards for keywords will help, at least for me anyway, and download apps like the BBC Bitesize app, it is really good and really helpful and if you start a new topic in your book put a lable on the old topic saying what it is so it is easier to find when coming to revision.

I would like to have a medical based career, preferably a vet. So triple science, and also would love to do psycology if that's possible
I do psychology, ill warn you, its alot of memorising and is quite boring at times but can be alot of common sense too, your school should give you a taster lesson and then decide if you like it or not, also the new spec Psychology book is Β£20-30
Donβt start revising until around January of y11 or you will stress out. If you donβt like exams choose subjects that still have coursework such as dt, however a lot of work is required.
