I really want to go to Cambridge to study medicine, however I am only 5' 8". I heard you have to be at least 6 foot!

Do you think I have enough time to grow?
Will they accept me if I am just under the requirements, but perform great in the interview?

    Thanks

I was rejected because I was 5'11". True false story.

I'm only 5'11.5" but I guess they let me in because I went to a state school so I guess they must have taken pitty on thought I was probably malnourished.

It’s actually 6’ 4” now, Cambridge require all candidates to be exceptional in every way, height included, you also can’t be less than 82kg or have more than 7% body fat.

I think Oxford are still going with the 5’ 8.01” rule though so maybe get some slightly higher heels and apply there?

You've got to be realistic with your expectations, remember it's just 1 of 5.

I've heard your height must be at least two standard deviations away from the mean height of your demographic (country of origin + biological sex).

Not sure if that applies solely to being taller than the mean though...

You might have a chance, they said that there's no more UKCAT, the equivalent is being a good troll as an essential entry requirement.

A basic error. There's no UKCAT at Cambridge.
It's the BMAT. Big Man Admissions Test.
