Doing a GCSE that you do not know what is may be a bad idea.
Research the GCSE out or try a bit/look at a textbook/past paper, see what you think before just being shoved in at the deep end.
Best of luck.

Moved this to a more relevant part of the forum so you can maybe get some responses to do with what the GCSE is itself!

Statistics is more maths really, just a specific branch. If you're good at maths and enjoy it then statistics is an easy way to get an extra GCSE. There won't be any A-levels that you need a statistics GCSE to do so don't feel you have to do it, but it could be a useful head start if you are thinking of A-level maths as that has a fair bit of statistics in it.

Statistics is an easy GCSE, I'm not that good at maths, but because we are top group and finished the spec, we are doing it. I didn't revise, did last years 'hardest paper' and came out with a C. It's pretty simple, don't worry.

nice GCSE but I did mine in year 10 when I only had 3 exams (bio chem and phys) so it was a nice extra. wouldn't recommend during year 11.
