Not me personally, but my mum got an itchy scalp from using Pantene.

Maybe you have sensitive skin, or just allergic to one of their ingredients ?
Yeah Pantene used to irritate my scalp a heck of a lot. Its rubbish, Dove is gentler =]
It was ages ago, and pantene shampoo made my hair fall out, not like in chunks, but yeh.. and i was really worried at the time, but ive changed the shampoo, and its been fine since.. it was prob an allergy thing.. wouldnt be too worried about .. esp when you've changed the shampoo

yep, I'm severely allergic to pantene stuff. It makes my head swell up and any other part of my body it goes on (especially hands)

I am allergic to it as well, I'm ok with the hairspray etc, but the shampoo and conditioner is so painful and it used to make me look like I had really bad dandruff as it basically burnt my scalp :frown:

I use Dove and some times Herbal Essence when I can afford it.
Yep, some shampoos do this to me, i just don't use them again. I reckon its just having sensitive skin.
yeah, probably is down to sensitive skin. mine used to get really enflamed and itchy. made my hair very weak too =[ and products by Wella too.

It used to burn my scalp too. And it totally dried it out.

Yup, whenever I use Pantene my scalp goes all flaky and red and it feels like it's on fire.

Meh, change your shampoo. Scalp sensitivity is very common. I've only ever experienced it with Dove shampoo.

And if anyone starts ranting on about the Pantene contains the same stuff as what they use to remove oil from driveways, most shampoos do. And do some research about it. I cannot tell you how many people perpetuate this idiotic scaremongering. /premptive rant

If you ask most hairdressers, they will tell you to steer well clear of Pantene as it is one of the worst shampoos for hair health. It contains a lot of silicone, which can be compared to putting foundation on your skin without cleaning it off - although you can do if you use a good cleansing shampoo.
Best to stick with a brand that is good for your own hair, or you can't go wrong with the slightly more expensive salon brands (charles worthington and kerastase make my hair almost mirror-like in quality!).
If you find your scalp stings, use a "gentle" shampoo - although this will probably not cleanse as intensively.
Yes, Pantene made my scalp itch and my daughters also
