Good evening,
I've sent certified copies of my passport to SFE 3 times and they didn't accept any of them. I called them before the last, asking if they would accept certification by the post office, and they said they would, so I sent that, and today I called to check the process and they tell me they did not accept it because apparently it needed to be someone higher up in the post office, not just anyone to certify it. They did not mention this when I asked.
Where can I safely certify a copy that Student Finance will accept? I am way overdue with this because they just don't give me a straight answer when I call.
I'm an EU Student by the way.
Thanks for the help!

I'm sorry to hear about what's been happening with your ID evidence so far
Here is a list of countersignature occupations that SFE would accept to certify your ID:
I hope this information helps resolve the issue you're having.
Kind regards,
John.

Thank you for answering John!
I've sent another one certified by a Chemist, hoping it works now.

A certified copy is a clear photocopy of an original document which has been stamped, signed and dated as being a true copy of the original by an official.
You can download the certifier checklist here http://ow.ly/d/8nhW
To be valid the following details must be provided either on the certifier checklist or on the same page as the Identity evidence;
The certifiers full name (Must not be a relative)
The certifiers signature (Must be in ink)
The date of the certification (Must be dated within the last 90 days and prior to form being received)
The certifiers job title (Must be an acceptable occupation)
The certifiers work address
An official stamp
All pages of the Identity evidence, including the certifier checklist if provided must show the same official stamp
Both sides of the National ID card must be visible
The Passport number must not be redacted or obscured
Thanks, Isaac

Hi,does my certified copy of my passport need to show several pages of my passport? I have a German passport. On the evidence I already sent in, but was rejected, I had my passport number, my full name, nationality, date of expiry and date of birth. Does this suffice? (My evidence was rejected because of different stamps on the certifier checklist and certified copy.)Is the Post Office Document Certification Service sufficient to meet you requests? Thanks in advance.
