Jobs within Uni?

What kind of jobs are available at University that fits with a student's life but also gets you out there and paid?

The jobs I've seen students work in, include:
Retail (Galleria; Welwyn, Hatfield, or St. Albans Town Centre)
Tutoring/teaching
On-campus jobs (Active Students, SU shop jobs, student ambassadors, etc.)
Service industry jobs (eg. Deliveroo)

The most convenient of these are on-campus jobs (or the others that can be transplanted to on-campus!). Four to eight shifts are the most common, with generally speaking, the easiest kinds of shifts to deal with being shorter ones that are more frequent throughout the week. On-campus is just so much better for dealing with class schedules and balancing the workload of Uni. An exhausting six hour shift is so much worse when you have an hour's worth of commute on either side as well...

The first place to look is always the Students Union, if they have job listings! The second is the area around you--if any retail or service industry jobs having listings open (usually on display in windows, for example). Getting jobs through friends (try fishing for something on Facebook?) is also a great shout!

If you need any more help or tips, give us a shout!
