Why do you think that the CUG is the best judge of which uni is 'better'??!

I am pointing out the weakness in using one flawed set of rankibgs.

That's irrelevant. I'm trying to point out that your reasoning is flawed. Choosing a university solely on the basis of the CUG - which is what you suggested - is not a wise move.

As I said, don’t use it. And I’m obviously not using the CUG ALONE to decide a Uni but you obviously think I’m stupid due to your replies to me on other threads. You use your preferred league tables and I’ll use mine. At the end of the day you’re not completing my UCAS application.

I'm not applying to university. I have two degrees.

Ok, you go with your preferred tables but don't make out to other people that this is the best way to choose a university - especially international students who might think that such tables have any official status when they don't. And even more so when the OP is applying for a postgraduate course and the CUG and most other guides are concerned with undergraduate.

Well done, you win.
