Christian Hubert Baron Pfeffel von Kriegelstein- what a name!

"She married a church minister, and lived for much of her adult life in Strasbourg. There, it is believed, she may have contracted syphilis while caring for patients with the sexually transmitted disease." - is it possible to contract Syphilis this way? I didn't think it was.

Actually, Google tells me it can be contagious through touch via any rash or sores. So yes I guess nursing could put you at risk.
