Driving; crossroads with traffic controlled crossing

OK so imagine four way intersection which has traffic controlled pedestrian crossing; say by the time you get to the other side of the intersection the lights go red but there's traffic light on the side your entering the road do would you need to stop?

I wouldn’t have thought so if it means you’d be stuck in the middle of the crossroads! Creating a hazard that way.

Well no, given the stop line will be on the other side of the intersection...

Once you have passed the line at the lights you are "in play". You'll need to finish turning once it's safe to do so. Lights are staggered to you should have enough time to exit the junction. If not (normally when somebody has jumped a red light) the other cars who are next to go should delay in order to give you enough time to vacate the crossroads.
