How are you doing now? My primary open tip with Mr Ion took place three days ago. Did you take supplements afterwards? I’m on arnica and am getting bromelian in today hopefully. He’s amazing, isn’t he? I did hit my nose with a pillow by accident on the first day and hope that won’t affect anything

‘Harley st’ doesn’t narrow it down and mr Ion is based on Harley st, so your comment doesn’t add anything to the discussion apart from confusion.

I actually was there yesterday for my 3 months post op! All is well and he is happy with the progress. I have quite thin skin so my swelling has gone down quite quickly.
Yes he is a genius!

How are you feeling in terms of swelling/bruising?

I didn’t have much bruising but a lot of swelling so I think the bromelain helped more. I also drank loads of pineapple juice and LOADS of water (about 4/5 litres a day) so important!

Do you have a travel pillow to help you sleep upright? Aw don’t worry about knocking it with a pillow - you will be fine - it is when you are trying to be careful that accidents happen! X

I was there yesterday too! For my two day post op / cutting stitches. I asked his nurse to inject my stomach as I was sore when I did it.

I have Bromelain coming tomorrow and will order some pineapple juice now. Good idea. I have no bruising either just a really swollen nose but it’s manageable. I have fresh dressing on it which will be removed next Monday.

Good advice about travel pillow - thank you - as I woke up with my head leaving towards my shoulder a few times last night.

It’s three days in and I have one constant drippy nostril - no blood now just mucus, how long before that goes?

Just wanna say I had mine with Ion almost 5 years ago now and I found what he did to be fantastic. He gave me a cute looking nose, which I heard he was good at doing from forums. The recovery was quite hard from me as my face remained swollen for 2 weeks to an extent and I was worried it would stay like that forever! It didn't went down. The nose has changed a bit over the years and the tip has drooped a bit but I take this as natural and I am still happy with the results

Hi, just wondering how your open rhino with lucian Ion went? I’ve booked to get one done next month and am so confused because I’ve read lots of bad reviews lately. Hope yours went well. Any feedback you could give would be much appreciated Xx

Hey! I had a long delay with booking it, but now it's finally booked for the 13th - so a week on Saturday!

I found a few bad reviews too , but found them mostly to be from revisions. I'm having a primary done.

Hey, sorry for the very late response. I had it done in April and everything went well. I was told at my 8 week post op that swelling takes up to a year to completely go away, and the tip takes the longest to form into shape. My columella is still a bit swollen but the swelling has gone down a lot compared to what it was in May. I have my 6 month post op appointment with him in October. If I'm completely honest I feel like if you're looking for a huge change in the shape and look of the nose and expect and want it to be made a lot smaller, Ion may not be the guy. He is VERY conservative with the changes he makes. And I kind of wish it was a little smaller. However, I feel like I can't properly judge it until a full years past and it's completely healed. Bare in mind he is very expensive compared to a lot of other surgeons, however with him you're definitely in safe hands. Just make sure to articulate everything you want done and changed. Also he creates morphs so you go by them.

Good luck with your consultation and remember to ask him any and all questions you have.
