What is my NUS number?

can anyone help please? What is my NUS number? im trying to look at the orange mobile phone special tariffs for studnets having got a letter about it in the post this morning... but they keep saying they cant recognise my number - ive tried my ucas application number, and the number onthe back of my ucas card...what else could it be? thankyou, and rep to anyone that can help me!!

your NUS no is the number in black bold letters mine starts 9826 either under your photo or college/school address hope that helps

ah ok.. thanks for that.. only i dont have an NUS card yet.. do i get that at uni, or should i have sent away?

think you need an NUS card - not UCAS details.

ah ok.. thanks for that.. only i dont have an NUS card yet.. do i get that at uni, or should i have sent away?

You may get it when you get to uni

However since the offer is available to all Students and not just to students at NUS affiliated universities it should be possible to phone them up and get the offer without having an NUS card/number - they may ask for some physical evidence that you are a student (like a letter confirming your place from your uni or UCAS) but they cannot insist that an NUS card is the only form of student ID they will accept.
