It’s says that attractive people have an easier life, so are less likely to empathise with the need for welfare.

Interesting, but the title is a gross exaggeration. Be very weary of psychological studies like this, it would do you good to read the methodology.

All I can say is the people who support the right in my school, are the lads that are neglecting their GCSE's and want to become footballers when there older.

The boys who vote the far right, are definitely not handsome, nor popular nor intelligent. More scary. School shooting sit in a room eating lunch alone looking boys. Sadly I have no proof but believe me if you want it don't make any difference.

The rest don't show their political views because none of us care anymore simply because no one cares for us. Ok that's a lie, mostly because none of us really give a ****, unless its controversial stuff in order to start a conversation.

It would be interesting to see what cohort was used in this study. Usually such research involves undergraduate students, meaning that the range of intelligence is very limited. There will only be subtle differences between intelligence.

If that is the case, I suspect that if the research used a broader spectrum, with more individuals of below average and average intelligence, the results may be skewed in the opposite direction.

Another pointless statistcs, surely we will see a contrary one next week/month/year, whatever.

We should concentrate on logic, and theory of argumentation being introduced as a subject in schools, everywhere possible, and discuss the general level of public debate. Not on who has a better DNA, died, dentist or plastic surgeries on average.

Intuitively wrong. The essence of leaning right is not to conserve traditional values, not to make sure your country and your people do well... it's to put yourself above others, to look down on others. Attractive people have one less reason to do this, they are automatically more popular and successful (all other factors kept fixed).
