why does half term start the week before halloween?

wHO decided this???

i'd rather have an extra week of school or school should've started on 10th onwards i wouldn't mind

but now i have to come into school on halloween like why

still i like being in sixth form now because i can customise an outfit right that sounds fun

I mean what would you do in the whole day on halloween anyway
it's only spooky at night
I had 6 hour labs last year on halloween
I remember that because instead of putting the date on my lab book I wrote "halloween 2017 umpkin: [pumpkin drawing] "

idk but that sounds a lot better than having to revise and do hw i like my courses and all but if half term exists they might as well do it on the week of halloween i'd like to have a serious discussion with whoever decided this
