Hey allI’ve been trying for months to connect my Xbox One to either the wired or wireless networks. I’ve just bought an ethernet to USB adaptor for my Macbook Air. I know attaching an ethernet cable between my laptop and the wired port in my room, then enabling internet sharing works. However, this is against university policy, and I am aware this can cause some disruption to the network. My questions are, how serious can this disruption be and could I get away with it?Thanks

At my uni, all you had to do was ask (the accommodation office?) and then it was fine.
