Research Design HELP!!

Literally have no clue about "research designs" although I know I have to pick one for my research proposal...

Basically I want to be able to choose two sample sets, and put them through the same tests and then compare the results....the samples will be different but the testing will be the same.

anyone have an idea what research design this is?
