Hey guys!

I'm a returning psychology student in my final year. I 've been out for two years due to health conditions and I just feel I'm first year again. I need to write my dissertation but I have no idea what statistical analyses should I use, data analyses, and in general, whatever has to do with methodology etc. I went through reading spss books but is just impossible to understand what I need to do! I cannot ask my tutor, or any other university resources because they will not give me straightforward answers! If anyone can help will be awesome, I will be soo grateful!

hi! I posted something similar and barely go a response I get it SPSS is the worst thing ever. the way that worked for me is youtube tutorials and following them step by step - start the video on your phone and then pause at every step and then copy each step, takes a while but helps! Hope that makes sense...

Basically, what Cookiemunch suggested is what I was going to suggest. I had a stats module on my degree course way back in 07/08 and I hated it. SPSS was time consuming and painful, in my experience.

Once you practice SPSS it becomes easier . There are online resources and guides availbable in IBM website, based on the version you have you can learn to run tests. Also, there are so many videos on youtube.
