I was at the same day as you today!
I probably shouldnt describe myself on a forum though!

I thought my interview went really well, I was dreading forgetting something really simple! Mine was based on aromatic compounds, firstly benzene, but then he went on and asked questions about a whole load of other ones Ive never seen before! It wasnt that bad though, it was more like a mini-tutorial than an interview.

Did you get an offer/what offer?

Yah I got ABC aswell. They said that was the usual offer for BSc, but they gave loads of MChem it aswell!

It annoyed me abit that they already decided to let us all in, but made us go through a proper interview first. Well, I presumed everyone got in...

First year is very much a recap of A Level to get people on the same page. By the time it comes to new topics you'll have been given textbooks and you can get on from there.

Your interview is not scary at all, I used to help on UCAS visit days. Just be enthusiastic for chemistry and you'll go far!

Hey guys i had an interview yesterday and they gave me an offer of BBB but i've already done my a-levels last year and i got BBC ( C in Geography and 2 B's in Chem and Bio- and its not possible to take anymore resits for the old a levels (took one geography resit in january). Do you think they'd be persuaded to give me an offer of BBC once i contact them after the official offer has gone through on ucas? I did have crappy teaching in geography that may come under extenuating circumstances (supply teachers most of the time).

Thanks and good luck everyone.
