Most "show women" have full time jobs elsewhere, they certainly won't be missed in F1 or darts.
If a grid girl still wants to be involved in F1 in any way she can become an engineer (difficult) or a stewardess managing the crowds that attend the circuit (slightly easier)

except that does nothing to address the issue of those women that will be losing their jobs (ie. without displacing others) or women and customers that like the grid girl roles

believe it or not, women have more marketable skills than just being attractive.

This is an interesting case, they tried male grid guys once and Vettel wasn’t best pleased. There are other Women in the sport, the boss at Williams is a female as is the chief strategist at Sauber. On women drivers, I am happy to see them as long as they get there via merit and not for being a woman which has happened in the past.

They already tried getting rid of women in music videos, remember the ‘blurred lines’ drama?

Personally I don’t agree with getting rid of these girls, if there were claims of harassment then I would understand why, but as far as i’ve heard these girls enjoy the job. It’s usually some extra (but needed) cash for students and aspiring actors, and there’s no animosity toward the job from the girls that work them (as far as I know).

They’re getting rid of people because there’s a possibility of harassment, next are we just going to separate woman and men because men can’t control themselves? There’s precaution and then there’s over protection.

Why not offer to sell your own services? You can walk up and down the grid in a G-string and we can all comment on the size of your knob.

Those girls don't have jobs as grid girls. It is a one day gig. If anything, getting rid of this sort of job will force them to gain meaningful employment where they are selling their ability to add value, rather than allow lecherous men to look at them as objects.

I note it is only men who are complaining about these rulings. Feel free to offer your own services. I am sure lots of people will be happy to shout opinions on the size of your genitalia at you.

And have you actually asked any of these women if they agree with you on cutting their employment prospects? No, thought not

We don't live in some socialist fantasy. If your job position no longer exists, you won't be getting work. Welcome to reality.

They only get paid £100 a day. It should be no major loss for them.

It is rather telling that people like yourself get angry over this topic yet aren't starting threads over the potential 20,000 careers on the line due to the collapse of Carillon.

It's not a ban, is it? It is a business decision by a private company.

Except it is a business decision made by the owners.

Shhh.... don't say that. Calling it a ban is great for newspapers and clickbait articles.

    Well, quite.

I don't have a horse in this race. It doesn't affect me one jot, but let's at least be accurate about what this actually is.

They are always trying to ban something like this to take choices away from women because they don’t agree with it.

    It’s the same point repeated.

due to pressure from leftwing parties such as Lab and SNP - these muppets are supposed to be for the workers, not against them!

Can you point to an instance where this pressure was directly applied to the company responsible for the F1?

I actually agree with you in principle that the move is silly and unwarranted. I'm just not sure of the rest of the stuff that seems to go along with it whenever the topic is under discussion.
