Long story short, there's an attractive guy in my course who I see in my lectures and classes and I want to give him a box of chocolates or something similar. Is that too cheesy or what?

I wouldn't say cheesy but chocolates and flowers are a bit cliche and boring, anyone can buy them and they'll probably receive the same thing from other people. Probably fine for a crush...

I think a simple card with a note is more lovely and nice a gesture than chocolates, etc
