    Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.

    Don’t think you do, many uni courses require a level maths but some don’t. I’ve got 3 offers to go to uni and don’t have any maths a levels, only an IT BTEC extended diploma and they still accepted me so if you want more options chose A level maths but FM is overkill

    its recommended most the time but not compulsary

    It's not exactly necessary, but it won't hurt. If you have the skill to do it, by all means, but just flicking through FM Stats 1-4 or Decision 1+2 in your spare time helps probably as much. It's basically what I'm doing with M3-5 for Astrophysics.

    Edit: as others have said, some universities apparently do require it. Be sure to check - and if you're just starting A Levels soon, it might be worth taking it just to be sure if you don't know where you wanna go yet

    Check the requirements of unis you would like to go to - some will some wont
