You literally just proved my point by saying that you are dropping one, case closed.

Don't quote me again please, I'm learning Spanish grammar.

    Thanks
Yeah I'm stopping learning it in school, but I'm keeping it up on the side. I find it would be a waste to start learning a language and then drop it. Case closed.

Don't quote me again please, not everybody finds things to be at the same difficulty as you do. You shouldn't assume that OP and I find grammar to be as hard/easy as you do. Plus you can't say you know Latin is hard if you don't do it.

Ffs, I took Latin and dropped it when I realised how boring it was, also can you not read ‘Don’t quote me’. Also don’t then think that you’re clever by using my structure of reply.

    Just leave.

    Pls

To be fair, it says in my college prospectus "They might not know much about it, but they know it's hard!" (they being employers). This is why having latin is impressive.

Hahaha yeah a lot of people who want to convince you to take Latin say that. Personally I don't find GCSE Latin that hard but everyone to their own.

I follow other people's gygs who are mostly in Year 10 and 11 but the reality is that I'm in Year 8 and your tips are sooo helpful when I choose my options in 2 months (cause my school wants us to start early)

    What I want to choose:
    English Lang (compulsory)
    English Lit (compulsory)
    Mathematics (compulsory)
    Biology
    Chemistry
    Physics
    French
    History
    R.E
P.E BTEC (cause my school is a P.E specialist school)

Just wondering but why does everyone hate art so much? I want to do art or product design as my ‘break’ subject and all I’m seeing is bad reviews

Also would it be advisable to take art and triple science at the same time?

Art is coursework. If you have natural ability and want a break from triple I'd definitely do it. Creative stuff is great, my music lesson saves me on my timetable. Both would be fine, I have friends who do it and I take triple.

Hi, I’m planning to do the IGCSE CIE and I’m planning to take these subjects:
    English Language
    English Literature
    Extended Math
    Additional Math
    Biology
    Chemistry
    Physics
    BM (National Language)
    Computer Science
    History/Geography/Business Studies

What do you guys think about the last option that I have, I just cant choose between all 3 ?
I’ll most likely choose History out of those 3 as Im interested in it, but Geography is more towards STEM (which is good ??) and Business Studies seems interesting and a good skill to have.
Also is Business Studies considered as one of the “soft subject” in IGCSE ??
I can't speak for all of those or IGCSE but my friends who took business are swamped by the workload. There's a lot of content, homework and coursework for them. Interesting stuff though! I love history and as long as you take history OR geography, it really makes no difference at GCSE level, I promise you. There's no STEM. A Level is a bit different.

it’s a big workload - art with all the coursework, and the fact that triple science is an accelerated course. but if you think you can do it then there’s no problem with it! i know plenty of people who are fine with it

I wouldn’t say I’m naturally gifted, but I am good, I guess. I don’t do art in my spare time and I usually leave my art homework until quite late. Would you say I should take product design instead?

Actually, not really. A lot of kids in my school took product design and technology because they thought it would be easy and there would be tons of time in the workshop. There is not. There is TONS of planning and creation of drafts that requires work at home. Basically, only take an art subject if you can put in the work at home - the general rule is for each hour of lesson there’s an hour at home.

I'm in year 9 and these are the options I've chosen and handed in:
    French
    History
    Geography
    Computer Science

However I am starting to worry since I don't enjoy geography although I am not bad at it, and I like history a lot more (always wanted to study at A level) I think I will do fine however I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me about the workload for doing both of these subjects? I am an avid essay lover but I wonder if there is a lot of work involved and a lot to remember when doing both history and geography?
