    hi,
i'm in year 9 and recently chose my 10 GCSEs and only now found out that gcse polish was a thing (AQA). it isn't offered at any school in my local area and i'm thinking of self-studying (i only need to learn how to write properly) and taking the exam in 2019 or 2021 (either y10 or y12 so i don't have to worry about it during my actual gcses).

how would i go about registering and paying fees for the gcse and where would i take the exam?? and does my school need to be informed about the exam (obviously i'm going to take days out of school)??

The majority of schools will arrange for students to take GCSEs in their home languages so ask your school if you can take it there (probably the head of languages is the best place to start). It is likely to be the cheapest and simplest place to arrange it.
