My bday is coming up and although I've organised a celebration later in the week, when it comes to the actual day of my bday I have nothing planned. I suggested a bunch of ideas to my boyfriend about what we could do, but he claimed he was too poor for all of them...even the cheapest of ideas. When i asked him for suggestions, he just said he had no idea and didn't talk about it anymore. On my friends and boyfriend's birthdays i've baked special cakes, organised surprise and non-surprise bdays, bought presents and generally made them feel special even when I was on a budget. I know bdays aren't a big deal for everyone but i'm at the age where they are still fun. How can I talk to them about it without sounding spoilt? I don't need expensive extravagance, I just want people to care, especially since I care so much about them.

I dont wanna get ur hopes up but ur bf is being secretive u never know u may be getting a surprise bday
