I and my Girlfriend have been together for about 3-4weeks now and for some reason, it always feels awkward to make conversation, we are always fine with other people if were separate or together but often when just us two we struggle to make conversation. Is this normal for the first few weeks of a relationship or are we just not suitable for each other? Also, how can I fix it or change this?

I think that if you're compatible then you would never run out of things to talk about, even in the first stages of a relationship you're trying to learn as much as you can about each other so the conversation should be flowing. If you really want things to work maybe give it a bit longer because yes the first stages of a relationship are more awkward than the later stages so it might still be that you both still need to get more comfortable with each other. Just try make more conversation, flirt with her and see if anything changes. Hope this helps!
