im learning about transition metals and apparently cr3+ is seen as purple colour and not green for the new ocr spec , could someone clear this up for me because in the revision guide it says its green ?

It seems it can be either purple or green, and comes down to the state that the ion is in?
At least that's my interpretation, but it's been 4-5 years since I did Chemistry and spent most of my lessons not paying enough attention!
