Reading the FT, Guardian and doing research about a firm if I secure an interview (current deals, office locations, business developments affecting the firm etc.) is what I had in mind for increasing my commercial awareness for application processes.

Is this enough? If not, what more can be done & how? Also, how best to display commercial awareness in application questions? I am only a firest year undergrad so for insight days and limited vacation schemes the questions are usually around 'Why this firm?', 'Why an international/corporate lawyer?' and so forth.

    Thanks in advance.

That sounds fine OP. You're doing plenty for middle of first year, anyway.

edit: the reason you're not getting a lot of responses might be that you've put this in law study help, rather than legal careers.

All right, cheers. Just want to be prepared for the Insight Day, First Year Vac and Campus Ambassador phone/in person interviews.

That would make sense, I was not aware that there is such a forum section. :P Cheers
