A and C are the points ( ) 1, 3, 2 − and ( ) 4, , 4 − 3 respectively.
Point B divides AC in the ratio 1 : 2.
Find the coordinates of B
You can write a relationship between the displacement vectors AB and AC given the information in the question.

AB=1/3AC

Rewrite in terms of the position vectors then find the position vector of B (OB).

A and C are the points ( ) 1, 3, 2 − and ( ) 4, , 4 − 3 respectively.
Point B divides AC in the ratio 1 : 2.
Find the coordinates of B
Because it divides AC in a ratio 1:2,
you know that Vector AB is 1/3 of Vector AC
