i have recently received an conditional offer from kings, to study film studies BA, i am very excited and looking forward to next year hoever i am a bit unsure about the cource. i want to be a film director and i would like to gain some practical experince aswell as learning about the theoretical context of the cource. does this cource at kcl offer a practical experience on making films aswell? or is it all essay and exam based?. also if i do this cource and it is all theoretical with no practice, could i still get into the film and media industry?

There are no practical film making modules whatsoever, it is a theoretical course. Yes, you could still get into the industry, but you are probably going down a harder route.

I'd always recommend fully understanding the course content before applying, and it's all available online.

How was the application process? You had an interview? What kind of work experience did they value? How much time did it take for them to answer you?
