So, I recently read Dodie Smith's 'I Capture the Castle' (and I now love it!). We are studying Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier for our 'love through the ages' section. We struggle with AO4 which is exploring literary connections and my teachers said that all i need to do is to simply link to any wider reading. I was wondering if i could use I Capture the Castle for this and link to both narrators' feelings of class and relationships (the fact that there is an emphasis of class difference between Simon, Rose, Neil and Cassandra in I Capture the Castle and the narrator and Maxim in Rebecca. Would this be okay to do?
